You may have heard, but Michigan is currently experiencing some of the coldest temperatures in years. It`s been below zero for several days with some seriously crazy wind chills. Couple that with the two fee of snow we got Sunday and outfit pictures have been a bit of a challenge. So...in loo of photos of me, here`s a few of my favorite slow cooker recipes for getting through these cold days.
Baked Potato Soup - I made this just last night after spending an hour getting my car unstuck from the driveway (is there anything more embarrassing than having to call your boss and tell him you`re stuck in your own driveway?) and it totally hit the spot. Sometimes the basics are the best.
Coconut Curry Chicken - This is insanely good. I love making Thai at home.
Chicken Noodle Soup - A classic. This recipe is crazy easy in the slow cooker and freezes really well.
Sweet Potato Lentils - This turns into something of a mash. A perfectly seasoned, delicious mash.
Mac and Cheese - Not even remotely healthy, but oh, so good.
Mexican Chicken - Eat it with guac. And sour cream. And possibly cheese. Be sure to make extra cause you`ll crave it for days afterwards.

Your timing of this post is incredible! I have been actively gathering slow cooker recipes because I've been so busy at work that it's tough to cook a good meal every night, but having food ready for me when I get home is the best! I have already pinned this post for later :)
ReplyDeleteRoast and beef stroganoff are two slower cooker favorites in my house.
Awesome! We looove stroganoff too, it's on the menu this week!
