Do you ever get that itch? The itch to just get away, to see something new, to explore? Jeremy and I responded to the itch this past weekend and escaped to Frankenmuth, MI. A mere 1.5 hours from our home, it was the perfect weekend trip.
Frankenmuth is known as Michigan's little Bavaria. The entire town has a distinctly German feel in everything from the arcitecture to the food.
We ate here and our waiter was wearing lederhosen.

J and I have been so, so worn out. It was really strange not to travel around Christmas, and I was left feeling like we had to do something. This weekend could not have come at a more perfect time. J started college today (eeek!) so it was the perfect way to recharge and get our energy up for the long semester ahead.
