- Stay organized. It's hard, but worth it. Label your boxes with what room they came from and what's in them. You will thank yourself later when you're all moved in and starving and can't find your waffle iron.
- Be a lazy eater. The last few days before the move are tough. You're burned out, tired, and the last thing you want to think about is cooking. Now is the time to treat yourself to a few meals out or just go ahead and buy that frozen pizza. This will also allow you to pack up your kitchen and move on to other things rather than saving it until the last minute.
- Get help. Don't be afraid to ask friends for help. Whether it's help packing or doing the actual moving, just pick up the phone and ask. We've always had help on moving day and it's such a relief to know we're not going to have to move all those boxes ourselves.
- Treat yo' self. The night before the big move treat yourself to a glass of wine, a pedicure, or just an hour of time doing anything but packing or thinking about the move.
