Chai tea lattes are my favorite hot drink to make at home. They're so easy, and so, so delicious. Not to mention versatile. I took my normal vanilla chai, changed up one ingredient, and suddenly I had a pumpkin chai. Yum.
Easy Pumpkin Chai
Serves 1
1 bag of black tea
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger
1/2 cup milk
1 tb pumpkin spice creamer
1 tb sweetener or sugar - brown sugar is amazing, but splenda makes a great low sugar option
To Make:
In a drip coffee maker, place tea bag, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger in the basket. Add 1 cup water and brew.
Meanwhile, stir remaining ingredients in a small saucepan on the stove over medium heat. Continue stirring until the hot and sweetener is dissolved. Add to tea and serve.
Variations:
-Make some pumpkin syrup and use in place of sweetener. Use half and half or vanilla creamer.
-Use pumpkin puree.
-Use vanilla or caramel or chocolate or any other type of creamer for a different flavor.
Sounds yummy! I've never made chai at home.
