Super suspicious cows... |
So I'm in the process of finding a job. Last week I was pleasantly surprised to get a call from the local branch of a large retail store. I did part one of their interview process the very next day and should have an interview later this week! Even though I applied for a sales job, they're interviewing me for a managerial position. Not sure why, as I have no retail experience whatsoever, but hey...I'll take it. :-)
What do you guys usually wear to an interview? I've heard over and over that black pants is the way to go, but I felt to much better in this dress. This was also for a store aimed at 20-somethings, so I wanted to look at least a little trendy. I think I'll do something a bit less conservative for part two, the black felt a little drab.
P.S. Only 4 more days to enter the giveaway!

For every first interview, I always erred on the side of conservative and wore my black pants suit, usually with a colored shirt underneath to show a little personality. But for additional interviews, you get a better idea of the personality of where you're applying and you've passed the, "she can look professional" test already so more trendy is a good option. I love the outfit by the way.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Thanks Rachel! I'm thinking black pants and a fun polka dotted top for the next one.
