A Week of Goals

As an Army wife, I spend a lot of time away from my husband.  He works long hours, and has been out training for days at a time on multiple occasions.  Today began another one of such occasions, that will last a little over a week.

I've found that it's good to create a schedule for myself during these times.  My husband coming home for dinner every night and our evenings together anchor my days, and give me a sense of balance as I work from home.  This is one of the few constants I have in my schedule; other than that my days are a mix of photography, designing, cleaning, laundry, dishes, cooking, blogging and whatever else needs to be done around here to keep our lives moving.

But when my husband doesn't come home every night, my motivation drops.  Dramatically.  It's all I can do some days to get out of bed, change out of my PJ's, and eat.  I'm one of those people who's motivated by deadlines, and when I don't have any....yeah.  You get the picture.

So over the next week, these are my goals:

1) Read "Desiring God" by John Piper.  I've had this book sitting around my coffee table for a while, and it's time to read it!
2) Make a grocery run.
3) Continue with the 30 for 30 challenge, completing up to at least #25.
4) Finish my unit 3 photography project for NYIP.  I've been slacking on this for over a month now with lots of rainy days and a not being home.  Time to get it done and sent in.
5) Attend church on Sunday.  I always feel weird going by myself, but I need to, and seeing the wonderful people there is always good for me.
6) Get together with another army wife who's new to the area.
7) Do some crocheting.  I want to make some of these.  They'd make great gifts. :)
8) Find a good photography gear/laptop bag.  We've got a road trip coming up, and I need something to store this stuff in as we travel.

I might add some more, but that's all I've got for now.  We'll see how this goes. :)

What are you goals for the next week?
