Thrift Store Lamp Makeover

With the shopping ban in full swing, I decided it would be a great time to tackle some DIY projects I've been neglecting. First up: this lamp. I thrifted a pair of them almost a year ago and have been trying to decide what to do with them ever since. They're just so fun, we call them our Pixar lamps. But, they're a little dated.

I finally settled on some simple black paint. I bought a container of basic acrylic paint for $1.50 and went to town.



This was such an easy update. I now have no idea why it took me so long to get to it. Most of it only required one coat, with a few touch-ups later. Easy peasy.



Ta-da! I think I'll paint it's twin a brighter color, but I love the modern feel of the black. It looks great in our bedroom.
