Big News!

But probably not the news you're expecting.

My dear readers, today I want to talk to you about something important, exciting, and nerve wracking. I've written before about our difficult year. All this has got us thinking. Life is short. We have goals, we have dreams, and at some point, we're going to run out of time to achieve them. This is not the dress rehearsal. It's time.

And so, we're taking the plunge. It's time to chase one of our biggest dreams yet. Our dream to adopt.

Adoption is something we've always talked about. But in one of those far off, "someday" sort of ways. After a bit of a scare with my heath this summer, we knew it was time.

At this time, we're pursuing a domestic infant adoption. This means we're looking to adopt a baby inside the United States. We feel strongly convicted that we need to give a forever home to a child right here, in our backyard.

So here's the plan. It will cost us somewhere in the neighborhood of $23,000 total to fund this adoption. At the moment, we're looking to raise $2,650 by the end of the year to cover the cost of application and home study. We'll try and raise the rest after that while we wait for placement.
