July in Review

Annnd here we are at the end of July already. Only one more month of summer! Here's a quick look back:

Outfits:

Weekend Wear: Packing Mode // Weekend Wear: Bright Maxi + Denim // Nanny Style: Summer Sun Dress

I posted so few outfits this month, it really wasn't hard to pick favorites. It's been a stressful month and blogging was way at the bottom of the priority list. Here's to a better August...?

Budget:

All thrifted in one trip. Total: $10

As you can see, I didn't do a whole lot of shopping this month. This single thrifting trip was made the first week of the month and I haven't spent a dime on clothes since then. The tight budget reigns supreme, and we had better things to spend money on this month. Like doctor copays (boo) and travel (yay).

What I did buy I am really loving. I think only the pink maxi and grey tee have made it onto the blog so far but I've worn the striped tee a ton, and finally got around to hemming the polka dotted dress a few days ago. I'm super excited to wear it to church this weekend. The jury's still out on the floral number. I love it, but it's a teensy bit small.

Reads:
  • Stiltsville by Susanna Daniel - Such a good read. If you're looking for a great romance that isn't just all fluff, this is it. I love stories about marriage, and this is now one of my favorites.
  • Bomb by Steve Sheinkin - This book sat on my coffee table for almost 6 weeks before I finally read it. That was 6 weeks too long. This is a great book that gave me a completely different perspective on WWII. I can't wait to read some of Sheinkin's other books.
How was your July?

  1. It's so hard to blog consistently in the summer - there's just so much going on!

You found some great items at the thrift store - I especially love that polka dot blouse!
