Nanny Style: Floral + Pearls

Sears Top, so old I don't recall how much it cost (similar)
JC Penney Skinny Ankle Jeans, $25 (exactly)
Gap Flats, $10 on clearance (similar)
Pearls were a garage sale find (similar)

This has kind of been my uniform lately.  Now that the snow is gone and the clouds have disappeared, I can't get enough of my flats! And jewelry instead of a scarf! Amazing.

It must be the change in seasons that gets people re-evaluating their thoughts on blogging because I've read several posts this week on that subject. I must say that I have had similar thoughts lately.  I haven't been posting as often as I'd like to, I haven't been experiencing the increase in stats that I'd like to see, and sometimes I feel downright selfish and narcissistic for posting photos of myself on the internet.  But at the end of the day, I realize that I like my little blog.  And even more than that, I like all of you.  I love the relationships that I've developed, and the amazing women in the style blogging world that I've gotten to know.  I'm super excited to be meeting up with Stacia in a few weeks, and hope I can meet even more of you in the future!

And that, is worth sticking around for.

  1. First off, I think this is a great "pre-spring uniform." The floral print and bright flats make me think of warmer weather, and I am sure comfortable jeans are so important while you're at work.

Second, I think you're right that spring time means setting new goals for a lot of bloggers. I know I did some thinking about my blog too about a month ago. Fashion blogging might seem a little out of the box at times, but the community and connects are so worthwhile. Excited that you're doing a blogger meetup!

  2. As ever lovely outfit! Really glad to have found your blog, have picked up some styling tips. I tend not to read fashion mags these days as they don't really speak about the clothes I want to wear or the price I would pay for them. Blogs like yours are really inspiring, so keep up the good work!

  3. I'm browsing your blog for the first time thru the Easter link up. How do you like those jeans? How much do they stretch out upon wearing? Would you recommend sizing up or down? Sorry to pepper you with questions. I have a trip to JCP planned in the next week, AND a coupon, so I'd like to try these out . . . .

    1. I LOVE these jeans! As a short girl with hips, they really fit perfectly. They do stretch out a bit with wear, but they really don't seem to lose their shape. And I think they're pretty true to size! That sounds great, I hope you're able to find something you like. :-)
