Hipster

Vanity Striped Blazer, $19 (similar @ Kohls)
Thrifted Teal Top (similar)
Payless Sneakers, $15

So I put together this outfit just for Kimmie's link-up today.  I thought her idea of re-styling one of the oldest items in your closet was way too fun an opportunity to pass up!  When searching through my closet, I discovered that this teal top is one of the few things to survive the many closet purges I've done the last few years.  I thrifted it in college (maybe even before, can't remember) and it just keeps hanging on.

I gotta say, I felt pretty hipster in distressed skinny jeans and sneakers.  Not my usual look, but it was super comfy for a casual dinner out and wandering the mall over the weekend.

Also, do not be concerned, I have a date with my hair stylist today.  The shag pictured above will be no more.

  1. I think you've mastered the hipster uniform! I loved this link up, too, except now I remember why I don't wear my old clothes. Your shirt looks great and what a fun pop of color!

    1. Well, thanks! I felt the same way - trying to find something to wear for this link-up definitely encouraged a bit more closet clean out!

  3. I love the striped blazer! and the color of the teal top is just perfect, so thank goodness it has survived your closet purges. Plus it's such a basic layering item that if it still fits and is in good condition, why throw it out? Great outfit and thanks for linking up! :)

  4. First of all, I think your hair looks great but if you aren't loving it....

I've been doing some major closet cleaning lately so I didn't have a lot of old clothes left as where I was 5+ years ago is not where I am now (plus I'm not that size...whoops). I can see why you kept that top - it's timeless!

    1. It just felt a bit long here. I know I'm WAY more conscious of it than everyone else is. :-)

  6. It's always fun rediscovering old clothes that you had forgotten. It's like shopping except it's free!
