Thrifted Vintage Dress, $2
Connie Boots via Famous Footwear, $40
Even though this dress is too big, I had to wear it at least once. I was so excited to find it last week at the thrift store. It'll be hitting the shop sometime soon and I hope it will find a great new home!
So I was rather unceremoniously let go from my job this past week. There was no warning, very little explanation, and I was pretty shocked. Apparently it wasn't anything I did, but it was still rather unnerving, especially after just a month of working for them. And the timing wasn't really great since my husband is still laid off (although, is there ever a good time to lose a job?). Hopefully both of us will be able to find more work soon. And keep it for a while. It's been a weird season in life where we've both had one job after another, moved from place to place often, and I am so ready for some stability!
Anyway...hope you're all having a great weekend! :-)
I've seen so many nanny positions in my area...wish you lived closer! Have you been searching through Care.com at all? Good luck!
ReplyDeleteYep, care.com has been the main way I've found work! I've been applying, and have a few interviews lined up, so I'm hoping something comes up soon.
DeleteSo sorry about your job! Hang in there - I'm sure something will turn up soon.
ReplyDeleteAnd the dress is super cute, and doesn't look too big on you (at least it seems that way, in the photos), so there's that.
Thanks! The belt definitely helped create the illusion of fit. ;-)
DeleteWishing yourself and Jeremy all the best for 2013.
ReplyDeleteThe pits. Why do people want to do a "rip off the bandaid approach" to ending a job? A little notice, a little time to plan...
ReplyDeleteWell, onward and upward. You two will be okay, things always turn around. I'll be sending good energy and a little of the TX 50's up to you in the snow.
I know, right? Couldn't agree more. Thanks so much Kate!
DeleteYou are adorable girl! Loving this blue color on you! :)
