A Few Thoughts

Thrifted Sweater
Plaid Top via Plato's Closet, $4
JCP Skinny Ankle Jeans, $25
Swapped Boots, $8

This post has been sitting up in a tab with all the photos in it and no words for an hour now, and I still can't think of anything to say. So here's a few thoughts:

1. There is still no snow here.  It's making me sad, since Christmas is a mere 12 days away.
2. I have a doctor's appointment this morning. It's my first one in about a year. I am so thankful for insurance, and the ability to get to a doctor.
3. On a related note, I'm seriously considering taking a break from my insulin pump.  After 10 years of use, I have some serious scar tissue, and even some weird, sunken spots from over use.  That, combined with the fact that we don't have prescription coverage under our new insurance makes me feel like it's a good option for now.
4. I bought this awesome candle that makes a crackling noise when it burns. I kind of love it.
5. Work is wearing me out.  Not terribly so, it's definitely manageable, but I'm surprised how tired I am. I'm also struggling to find time to blog. I know I'll find the balance and adjust, but I'm not quite there yet.
6. My husband is awesome. He's basically laid off for the season now, and in between searching for more work, he's been pretty much taking care of everything around the house but the cooking. I haven't washed a dish or done any laundry in weeks. It's fabulous.
7. I really like my bangs a little longer like they are now.

This is outfit number 8 (I think...). Here's 6 and 7:

F21 Dress via Plato's Closet, $5
Thrifted Jacket
Thrifted Belt
Fleece Tights via Burlington Coat Factory, $6
Connie Boots via Famous Footwear
Walmart Necklace

I wore this for date night on Sunday night.  We went to see Lincoln (which was awesome) and had pizza afterwards.  I wish we'd gotten some "real" photos of this...I really liked it!

Thrifted Shirt ($2) and Cardigan ($2)
Old Navy Jeans, $30
Walmart Flats, $10

Annnd I wore #7 to work on Tuesday.  I promptly changed into my PJs upon arriving home after a particularly challenging day.

Have a great weekend! :-)

  2. There has been no snow in my part of the UK, however when the bare trees get frosty, the park opposite my house looks like it is full of Christmas decorations - that makes me smile.

Really like your mustard cardi :)

    1. So fun! I've been enjoying all the Christmas decorations here too, even without the snow. :-)

  3. I hear you on the Insulin pump issue. I have been using mine for probably 14 years and feel like I am running out of places to put it, but the idea of taking daily injections freaks me out. Good luck, let us know how the switch to needles works.
