When the weather gets cold, one outfit formula I reach for is a cozy sweater, jeans, and boots. I present to you exhibits A and B, both worn over the weekend.
Exhibit A:
Forever 21 Sweater, free with gift card
JC Penney Jeans, $20 (similar from Old Navy)
Connie Boots via The Shoe Dept., $40 on clearance (similar)
Gifted Earrings (exactly)
I wore this out to do a little Saturday morning thrifting. I went out looking for a pair of boots, and came home with 2 cardigans and a dress I'm planning to refashion. One of the cardigans is a super soft brown cashmere number. I was pretty excited to find it; I've never owned anything cashmere before. Yay thrifting!
Exhibit B:
Thrifted Sweater, $3 (similar)
Kohl's Scarf, $11
Old Navy Jeans, $30
Swapped Boots, $8
Lips: Estee Lauder "Rose"
I wore to hang out with my sister, and it was COLD. Ok, I'm probably being a bit of a wimp about it, but when one day it's 70 degrees, and the next it's 50, it feels pretty chilly.
I am so excited to finally have my husband back home. He left last week on my birthday and didn't come back until Sunday morning. It was a long, long week without him, but we enjoyed our weekly date night that much more. :-)
My favorite go-to outfit for winter is very similar, but I typically opt for a cozy cardigan.
ReplyDeleteUsually, when I read your post and there's a piece that I particularly like it's typically something you've thrifted (in this case, your pink sweater!). You've got a very good eye!
(PS: I received and love my earrings from your give away!)
Thanks Rachel! Yay, so glad you like them! :-)
DeleteThis is a definitely a wonderful go-to formula for cold weather. You can't go wrong with a cozy sweater, jeans, and boots! I love your polka dot sweater from the first outfit!
