Thrifted Top ($3); Thrifted Shorts; Shopko Sandals
Well, hi!
It hasn't even been a week since I last blogged but so much has happened! Here's the short of it:
The Good:
-We found an apartment! It's a lovely, quiet little place in Lansing that we're super happy with. We were able to get moved in last Friday and it's been great. :-)
-We now have internet in said apartment!
-We got a new car! More on that in a moment...
The Bad:
-Our car died. :-( Jeremy and I left my parent's home last week with both our cars loaded with stuff. Halfway through the trip we switched cars when Jeremy got a call to go into work. Not 5 minutes after going our separate ways, he calls me with he bad news. We were hoping it would be a simple fix, but it seems one of the cylinders blew and the engine needs major work (see: it's going to cost a lot of money). In any case, it is no more. We were able to bum a ride from my sister and BIL back up to my parents last Friday to buy a car from them, so we're back in business. We still need to get the non-functional car towed down to our place and figure out what to do with it. But for now, all is well.
Whew. It has been a crazy few weeks and we are both exhausted. Happy, but exhausted. :-)
Sounds like a busy week! Congratulations on the new apartment! And even the internet and new car. Even thought the new vehicle didn't happen under good terms. And I'm glad that you're back to blogging. The white-red striped top and denim shorts is such a classic summer look. It's almost too cold in my area to be wearing shorts. Feels like fall is officially here. But I'm glad to see you're getting a new more days of summer!
