Little Blessings

About a year ago I bought a 50mm fixed focal lens in hopes of using it to take portraits.  As it turned out, my portrait business never got off the ground, and I put the lens away.  I was pretty frustrated with my photography at that point, both with my lack of business and the lens itself.  Try as I might, I just could not get the photos I wanted out of that lens.

Then yesterday, on a whim, I decided to take it out again and play with it.  I guess just letting it sit for 6 months and coming at it with fresh eyes made all the difference because I got these beauties with my lovely lens.

Taking out my camera again after so long was such a blessing.  I have been feeling pretty down this week and I felt completely refreshed after just a half hour creating behind my camera.  So good.

Happy Sunday.

  1. The 50mm is a wonderful prime lens. It brings a softness to the photos that no other lens does and those photos are great andddd I love the new look to your blog. It might not be new, but it's been awhile and it looks really good!

    1. Thanks Jess! I've been slowly tweaking it over the last month. :-)
