Bookshelf: July

  • Harry Potter 5 and 6 - This series just keeps getting better! So glad I kept going, it's been great and I can't wait to finish off the last one.
  • The Sword - This audio book was free from Christianaudio.com in July (sign up for their newsletter and you can get their free monthly audio book too!).  My husband and I listened to it together and really enjoyed it.  Although the premise of the story is rather far fetched, it was interesting nonetheless, full of damsels in distress moments and scenarios that get you thinking.
  • Feminine Appeal - Such a good book!  While much of this book is the same insights on Titus 2 that you'll find in many other similar books, it's still a great read.
  • Unmasking Male Depression - An odd pick, I know, but this was such a fascinating book!  It talks a lot about how depression has become largely a "female disease" in our culture and how so many men struggle with it and feel like they can't get help for fear of appearing weak.  It also unearths many of the symptoms the men often deal with (anger, withdrawal, rumination) that women don't.  So interesting and helpful!  My husband and I both really enjoyed this.
What have you been reading lately?
