I was afraid this would look a bit too 4th of July, but I'm happy with how it turned out.  I wore this last week while getting organized and packed for our Colorado trip.

I'm pretty much convinced that these flats go with everything.  Definitely one of the best shoe purchases I've made in the last year.

Job searching is such a funny thing.  My husband is now on week 5 of the great search, and has had 2 phone calls, 1 interview, and 2 rejection letters (and unspoken rejection from the dozen other places he's applied).  Whenever we scout out a new area, we also look at possible places to rent if any of these applications actually result in a job.  It's can be rather emotionally draining, but has been a great reminder of the sovereignty of God in our circumstances.  What makes one job application result in an interview while another doesn't, we'll never know. :)
