I recently finished the book
Skin Rules
, and while most of the information wasn't anything new, I did learn a lot about protecting your skin from the sun. It also got me thinking about how much my skin care routine has changed over the years. I thought I'd share mine, and I'm curious to hear what your routine looks like!

Physician's Formula Organic Wear Makeup Remover |
I've used a variety make makeup removers, but this is what I've been using lately. It does the job pretty well without stinging my eyes. I think after this is used up I'll just go back to using water since I'm using a lot of organic makeup now that comes off easily!
Cleanser:
I've been using Noxzema for over a year now and love it. It gets my skin nice and clean and feeling great. It's the perfect amount of cleansing and moisturizing for me, and I use it every morning and evening.
Sunscreen:
I put this on every morning, whether I'm in direct sunlight or not. It's a great product that's nice and light, my skin hasn't broken out using it, and it doesn't make my face oily. Total win in my book. :-)
Moisturizer:
I picked this up after finishing Skin Rules because it has an SPF in it. I really love this; it protects my skin, provides just enough moisture, and evens out my skin tone quite nicely. I don't use it every day because my skin gets oily with too much moisturizer, but when I do, it's great. :-)
When I need a little moisture right before bed, this is what I reach for. I love all things Burt's Bees, and this is no exception. Great product.
Exfoliation:
I'm still on the fence as to whether this actually works. I bought it after hearing such amazing things about the Clarasonic because it was cheaper. Sometimes I feel like my wash cloth does a better job at exfoliating than this does, but I like to use it when a wash cloth isn't readily available.

Baking Soda |
Yes, baking soda. Use 1 tablespoon, and mix with enough water to make a paste. Rub on face. Repeat once a week for baby soft skin (no joke).
So that's my super simple skin care routine! It usually takes me about 5-10 minutes every morning and evening, and as long as I keep it up, my skin stays (mostly) clear. :-)
What does your skin care routine look like?
