Denim Skirt to an Army Ceremony

This post is gonna be a little more photo heavy that my usual outfit post.  My husband took some especially awesome photos, and I can't resist sharing more than my usual 3.

Really old blue top, probably was a hand-me-down {similar}
Mudd Earrings via Kohl's ($4.50) {similar}
Old Navy Leopard Scarf ($5) {similar}
DIY'd Denim Skirt from a pair of Levi's (jeans cost $20) {similar}
Forever 21 Leggings ($5) {similar}
Soda Boots via Burlington ($19) {similar}

I wore this on a very busy day last week.  My husband finally received his getting-out-of-the-army award, which entails a ceremony, which we found out about a whole 3 hours before it was scheduled to start.  He had to rush home to get me, but I got to be there:

They let me pin him. Which was both awesome and extremely awkward at the same time.
We had to stick around a bit afterwards until my husband got off, and then we rushed home again to get ready for dinner with friends.  It was a long, long day, but a good one. :)

How was your weekend?
