So like 2 months ago Maggie tagged me in a fun little blog meme.  And then this past week, Kate tagged me.  So I guess I better do this. :)

11 Things About Me

1. I went to nursing school once upon a time.  I graduated with an associate's degree and I still maintain my license to practice (although I have no intention of ever working in that field).
2. I am the oldest of five siblings.
3. I met my husband online.  We corresponded via the internet for 9 months before meeting in person.
4. I will eat ranch dressing on just about anything.
5. I am terrified of fish.  I love to eat it, but hate to touch it, look at it, etc.  I don't know why, but it grosses me out.
6. I love rutabaga.  Best vegetable ever.
7. I had a total of 1 date before I met my husband.  And it almost doesn't count because the boy had to trick me into it via truth or dare. (see Maggie's question 11)
8. My first car was a '98 Geo Metro.  I finally died in May '09 and it was a sad, sad day.  I still miss that car.
9. I used to collect rocks as a kid and my dad still has my rock collection in his garage. I also had a rock tumbler that was pretty cool.

Maggie's Questions!

1. What are you most scared of? Being defeated by my diabetes.  My worst fear is that it will kill me someday.  I want to die suddenly in a car accident or something...
2. How do you feel about bugs? Not a fan of the big ones.  Otherwise, they don't bother me.
3. How adventures are your eating habits? I'll try anything once.  But usually only once. :)
4. Dream job? That's a really tough one.  I think most anything in the arts where I can be making a difference for Christ (fashion, photography, music, etc).
5. Ever used the bathroom that's designated for the opposite sex? Nope!
6. Lady Gaga - gifted or just weird? Just weird.
7. What is the most inappropriate thing you've ever done or said to someone? When I was in nursing school, I once let my elderly patient leave his room without pants.  Long story...
8. Congratulations! You just won the lottery! What'cha gonna do with the money? Find out who needs it, and get rid of it.  Not all at once...this would take years.
9. Favorite dessert? Cheesecake! Any and all types! :)
10. Do you believe in aliens? Nope.
11. Best date ever. I think the best was actually my very first, just because it was a while ago and I STILL laugh about it.  One night I was hanging with some friends playing Truth or Dare, and a friend dared me to go out with a certain guy.  After the guy asked her to dare me to do so (hmm....).  It was the most awkward thing ever.  This guy is pretty talkative, and I'm definitely not.  He somehow decided he was going to let me do all the talking that evening.  We drove an hour to go to a play, and it was a VERY long ride.  But he was such a gentleman, I really had a lot of fun, and so did he. :)

Kate's Questions!

1. The strangest day trip you've ever been on. I think when my husband came to visit me for the first time we took some pretty odd day trips.  Everything about that visit was kind of odd though because it was our first meeting.  Anyway, we did a lot of just driving around together, trying to talk and it was awkward.
2. Favorite flower: both cut and planted. Cut tulips and planted lilacs. :)
3. Allergies? Yes.  Seasonal, and tuna fish.
4. Ideal pet: type, personality, color, name. I'd love a fuzzy little yellow lab that would cuddle and love like crazy.  I am terrible at naming pets, so I'll get back to you on that one.
5. Worst outfit you've ever worn in public. Hot pink sweatpants. Yuck. They were comfortable though.
6. What do you currently use for transportation? We have a VW Jetta that we share.  I'm in the market for a new ride though.
7. Favorite gelato or FroYo flavor. (or strangest) I don't think I've ever had either gelato or FroYo (what is FroYo?).
8. Where/in what circumstance have you been the most physically uncomfortable? I can remember some especially painful dental visits when I was a kid.  I've always had really sensitive teeth, so even cleanings can be painful.
9. What food item or flavor combination did you unexpectedly like and have intentions of hating? Hmm.  Probably the aforementioned ranch thing.  Never though that would become my preferred topping for most foods.
10. When was the last time you ate a homegrown piece of fruit or vegetable? I had some delicious lettuce last summer given to me by a lady in my church from her garden. Yum.
11. How did you come to the conclusion that you should start a blog? After blogging through the 30 for 30 challenge, I was hooked.  I've been happily style blogging ever since.
