I spent much of last Friday working through my repair pile. This dress was way too long (as most maxi dresses are on me) and needed a hem. I ended up just cutting the extra off the bottom so it would curl. I've had this dress for a few months, and am glad I'm finally able to wear it! It has a racer back on it too, so it'll be great for summer.
Do you alter your clothes to fit you?
I love this outfit!!! And no, I don't alter clothes....I con my mother into altering clothes to fit me :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Neen! Aww, come now... :)
DeleteI have a dress like that in gray and yellow stripes, only, it's too short! Usually I have the same problem you do with maxi's being too long (I'm 5'2")and sometimes I get tired of altering, so I bought a shorter style (without trying it on..ugh), too short for my taste, now I have to figure out some way of making it longer I guess...sigh.
ReplyDeleteP.s. I love the cardigan!
Oh wow, that is unusual! What brand is it? Have you considered just hemming it shorter for like a midi or knee-length dress?
