What's In My Bag?

I've seen a few bloggers do "what's in my bag" posts recently and I thought it was really fun!  So here's a peek inside my bag. :)

Old Navy Bag

I'm not really one to change bags with each outfit.  I typically pick a bag and use it for at least a few months before switching.  I think I've been using this one since August, and will probably continue to do so.  This is probably the most versatile bag I own.

  1. Random lip stuff.  From left to right: Revlon Colorstay Mineral Gloss, Burt's Bees, CO Bigelow via Bath and Body Works, stuff from my dentist's office.  I ALWAYS have some sort of chapstick in my bag.
  2. Dial lotion I got a free sample of.  A small tube of lotion is another winter staple for me.
  3. Tissues (with Mater on them!)
  4. Glucose Tablets for low blood sugars.
  5. Mini flashlight.
  6. Camera.  Yes I have one on my phone too.  But sometimes that just doesn't cut it.  I'm a photographer.
  7. Hair ties.
  8. Advil and allergy meds.  Ever since my birthday when I got a random allergic reaction I always carry some allergy meds with me.
  9. Wallet from Walmart.
  10. Pepper spray.  My dad got me this when I started college and I don't really know why.  I went to school in a tiny town and was never in any danger.  But alas, it stays in my purse, if for no other reason than to remind me of my dad.
  11. Pocket knife.  Another gift from my dad.
  12. Candies, in case I forget to refill my glucose tablet bottle.
  13. Glucometer.
  14. Cell phone.
  15. Pens.

The front part of my wallet holds my IDs, rewards cards and debit card.  The back that you see here holds cash, coupons and extra insulin.  I really like this wallet because it has room for all my cards (and I have a lot of them!), and it keeps my cash flat and easy to see.

My glucometer.  I love this little case; it came with a tote bag I bought in college and I've been using it ever since.  It's the perfect size for everything I need for blood sugar testing and looks cute besides.

My goal in the near future is to wrangle together some of the smaller things like the hair ties, candies and meds.  I have a few smaller bags that would work perfectly for this, I just haven't had a chance to track them down yet.

How about you?  How do you keep your purse organized?

  1. Oh I am the same way and it drives my friend crazy!! I pick one bag and stick with it and I try to select one that will match relatively a large amount of outfits. I just hate switching things from one purse to another. Well my bag is not organized one bit, its a mess.

  2. @V I hate switching stuff over too! I'm hoping when I get it organized a little better I'll do that more often.
