Sweater, Maxi Skirt & Scarf: Old Navy
Tights: Burlington Coat Factory
Shoes: So (Kohl's)
Necklace: Etsy
It was so cold out today. I was afraid I'd get too warm in my sweater, but that was definitely not the case.
All 3 of the Old Navy items I'm wearing today were purchased just a few days ago during their fall haul sale. I think I got all 3 pieces for under $40.
I'm not a huge animal print fan, but I wanted to grab the leopard print trend that's going on. So this scarf is my trend translation. Trendslation? ;-) I've also been wanted to try a maxi skirt all summer but being the cheap-o I am, I waited until I could get a great deal on one. Now I'm wishing I'd gotten one sooner. I think I could live in this skirt. SO comfortable!
I think my husband thought I was a little crazy for wanting to stand in the middle of the road for a picture. I love the result though!
We had a nice, relaxing day which began with sleeping in and a quick lunch before we headed north to do a little shopping and see "Footloose". My husband ordered a coat from JC Penney about 6 weeks ago, and we never got it. JCP finally just issued us a refund today, so my husband was still in need of a new coat. We ended up finding one at Sears that was cheaper than the one we had originally ordered from JCP. Score! I also got to enjoy a wonderful pumpkin pie blizzard at Dairy Queen. Behold:
It was SO GOOD. Tasted just like eating a frozen pumpkin pie.
Happy Saturday!
