Dress: TJ Maxx
Shoes: Payless
Belt: Thrifted
Earrings: Claire's
Necklace: Gramma's
So I've been a bit unsure of how to go about styling this dress. I think the belt helps it a lot though. Oh the wonders of belting.
These shoes haven't gotten as much love as I'd like during the challenge. I'll have to try and fit them into the last 5 outfits at least one more time.
Things on my mind this week:
1) I'd really like to try my hand at making a few dresses. I'm a very short-waisted girl, and have a hard time finding a good fit in a dress. Do you know of any good free patterns out there? There's some cute ones on Burda Style, but does anyone know of any others?
2) Apparently orange nail polish is the thing now. I've been wearing that on my toes every summer for the last 5 years. Just goes to show once again that the world always catches up to me and my fashion awesomeness...eventually. :) Haha!
3) Confession: I bought a pair of jeggings yesterday. I have never owned a pair of any sort of leggings, and thought it was kind of a silly trend. However, I've seen a few fashion bloggers rock jeggings with class, so when I saw a pair of a whole $4.50, I nabbed them, thinking I had nothing to lose. Although they are definitely different than what I'd normally wear, I can see how they could be worn with something like this dress, or a tunic, and look cute. Their polyester cuteness shall have to wait until the heat passes though. 80 degrees is too much for me folks! The last few days have had me longing for fall weather. But I digress...
Happy Tuesday! :)
Darling outfit - the dress is fantastic! If you're trying to think of other ways to wear it, add a cardigan, or a cute sweater (and make it look like a skirt). I really like using these two ways to change around an outfit :) Hope that helps! Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your lovely comments!

Thanks Tasia! I've done both those things with this dress; the problem is styling it in the heat without too many layers! :)
