The 30 for 30 remix is by Kendi Everyday. The basic premise is this: make 30 outfits out of 30 items. Different rules can be imposed, but that's the basic idea. For me, I'm deciding not to shop until this challenge is over. I recently went through a summer clothes shopping binge, and it needs to be over. My husband will be done with the Army in 9 short months, and we need to be tightening the financial belt around here. This is one step in that direction.
There is no time limit on this challenge, and this is a good thing for me. My basic day to day outfit is a tee or tank and jeans or shorts. I work and study from home, so dressing up isn't a priority for me. However, when we go out on weekends and in the evenings, this challenge will come into play.
So, here are my 30 items. :)
5 pairs of pants/shorts
2 skirts (the gray one also doubles as a dress. Yay multi purpose items!)
2 dresses
4 cardigans
10 tops
and 7 pairs of shoes
For this challenge, I can use as many accessories as I want; they don't factor into my item count. This includes (for me) scarves, belts, jewelry, and I'm counting my 'under shirt' tanks and tees. As well as anything I need to make my insulin pump work with my outfit. :)
So there it is! I'm hoping to have this challenge done by July 22nd, which is when we leave on our vacation. That gives me about 6 weeks.
You can join in this challenge on Kendi Everyday's page, and follow all the other bloggers who are doing it too! I hope you enjoy this interlude from the diabetes madness! :)
